James Packer and Kylie Lim’s secret wedding is finally revealed — and one unexpected detail has everyone looking twice
For years, James Packer and Kylie Lim kept much of their relationship away from the public eye.
Now, after more than a decade since they first met, Kylie has offered a rare glimpse inside the couple’s wedding day — revealing a moment that feels far more personal than the billionaire’s lavish lifestyle might suggest.
The 46-year-old made her Instagram account public and shared a single photograph from the couple’s wedding in Sardinia, Italy, where she and Packer, 58, quietly exchanged vows last week.
And among the diamonds, designer gowns and Mediterranean backdrop, it was one much-loved family member who stole some of the attention.
A bride, a billionaire — and Waffle
In the photograph, Kylie looked elegant in a strapless white gown decorated with floral appliqué and a traditional veil.
She wore her hair loose and kept her makeup understated, while several pieces of jewellery — including two tennis necklaces and a tennis bracelet — added a touch of glamour.
Packer opted for a more relaxed look, wearing a blue suit with an open-neck white shirt, black sneakers and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
But the most unexpected detail was Waffle, Kylie’s beloved Cavoodle, who appeared in the couple’s wedding portrait.
It gave the otherwise glamorous image a distinctly personal touch.
Kylie captioned the photograph with a message looking back on the extraordinary journey they had shared:
“After 13 years… my heart and always will always be each other’s home ❤️”
A long road back to each other
The wedding marks another chapter in a relationship that has already survived time apart and a reunion.
Packer and Lim were first together from around late 2017 until 2020 before rekindling their relationship last year.
Their engagement was confirmed in March, after the couple had once again begun appearing together publicly.
At the time, Packer told news.com.au:
“We are very happy to be engaged and looking forward to the future.”
The couple are understood to have been introduced by mutual friends in Aspen, where Packer has a home.
From private romance to a very public wedding glimpse
Although Packer and Lim have occasionally shared glimpses of their relationship, they have generally maintained a relatively private profile.
That made Kylie’s decision to make her Instagram account public — and then share a wedding photograph — particularly notable.
Her recent posts have included romantic photographs with Packer aboard his superyacht, including one in which she showed off her engagement ring.

For Packer, the marriage marks his third.
He was previously married to model Jodhi Meares, before marrying singer and model Erica Baxter in 2007. Packer and Baxter share three children: Indigo, Jackson and Emmanuelle.
He was also famously engaged to Mariah Carey in 2016, although the relationship ended later that year.
His relationship with Kylie, however, has endured a very different journey.
Packer previously spoke warmly about her influence on his life, describing her as a “wonderful influence” and saying he loved her very much.
In his 2018 biography The Price of Fortune, he also described Kylie as a good partner and said he felt lucky to have her in his life.
The wedding comes after another Packer family celebration
The timing of the couple’s wedding is also notable.
Just days earlier, Packer’s niece Francesca Packer and Robert Bates celebrated their own wedding in Mallorca, Spain.
The celebrations reportedly brought members of the Packer family together for a lavish three-day event at the historic La Fortaleza estate.
Francesca wore a striking ice-blue couture gown for the ceremony, while the Mediterranean setting provided the backdrop for the family celebration.
Soon afterwards, Packer’s superyacht IJE was spotted off Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda, where his own wedding to Kylie is understood to have taken place.
