TV icon Karl Stefanovic is stepping away from the screen for a stunning move into politics!

You Won’t Believe Which TV Legend Is Abandoning His Career for Politics – Karl Stefanovic’s Bombshell Move!

Karl Stefanovic has announced he is hitting the road with a bold move into politics ahead of a by-election in NSW.

Karl Stefanovic has announced he is taking his podcast on the road and hosting a live political debate.

The Today show host will broadcast The Karl Stefanovic Show from Albury, in southern NSW for the special episode on May 8, ahead of the Farrar by-election the following day.

Announcing the news on Instagram, the broadcaster revealed he would be chairing a debate with the candidates.

“Alright legends, a by-election has been called for the electorate of Farrer on May 9,” he wrote.

“So we’re heading to Albury to host a live debate the night before – May 8 – down at the pub, streaming the show live,” he continued.

“Come down and ask your own questions. This seat matters.

“Brad Robertson, David Farley, Raissa Butkowski and Michelle Milthorpe will be joining me.

“Come have a cold one. Good old country night.”

Stefanovic has been increasingly vocal about Australian politics since launching his podcast in January.

When he announced the new project, away from his role presenting the Today show, he promised to “unleash his inner beast” through “unfiltered and uncensored” conversations.

Since then, he has welcomed a number of big-named guests, including Kyle Sandilands, Pauline Hanson and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

It comes after Stefanovic shared his wife Jasmine’s violent reaction to Mr Albanese’s national address and response to the fuel crisis.

The TV stalwart said both he and his wife were left less than impressed by the Prime Minister urging Australians to conserve fuel and “do their bit” amid rising fuel prices caused by the conflict in the Middle East.

In a clip teasing the latest instalment of his podcast, the broadcaster said Mr Albanese’s address had left the couple “mad as hell”.

“I was away on holidays and starting to feel good, maybe the excise will bring the price of fuel down, everything’s going to be okay,” Stefanovic said.

“Then Albo did his national address and my wife threw a sausage sandwich at the TV.

“Albo has gone overseas to get all this extra fuel – he hasn’t done a deal with anyone.

“I just got madder and madder and now I’m mad as hell.”

Mr Albanese’s address to the nation was widely criticised by everyday Australians who accused him of fuelling anxiety instead of easing it.

The Prime Minister made no new policy announcements to help Australians struggling and instead encouraged commuters to use public transport where ever possible.
