AFL fans have noticed a sad detail in Lachie Neale’s Brisbane home after it was officially put on the market.
The five-bedroom property, located in the exclusive Seven Hills suburb, was purchased by Lachie and then-wife Jules in 2022 for $2.43m. At the time, they said it would be their “forever home”.
Following their high-profile marriage split, Jules, 35, and their two children, Piper, four, and Freddie, one, have relocated to Perth, while Lachie has moved into a new bachelor pad in Brisbane.
With the 700 sqm home set to go to auction on February 21, a property presenter has shared a behind-the-scenes video taken during happier times in April 2025.
The clip begins with Neale, 32, showing the presenter around the property, which includes a huge open-plan kitchen, three bathrooms, a pool, and a large patio area.
The Brisbane Lions star was joined by his young daughter and the family dog, Harley, for the wholesome video.
The clip included sweet moments of the father and daughter, including the Brownlow medallist preparing lunch for his little one, playing in the garden, and Piper proudly showing off her bedroom.
Sharing an insight into family life at the time, Neale explained how he and Jules balanced caring for their children and doing household chores.
“Jules is a bit of a master in the kitchen,” he told presenter Liz Tilley for The Courier Mail.
“I try and do most of the clean up, but with the kids as well, it’s a bit of a juggling act.
“So, after dinner, usually I’ll take Piper and bath her and stuff, and Jules will tidy up, so she does a fair bit of the heavy lifting.”
The clip has caught fans’ attention again after Tilley reposted it on social media over the weekend.
“That time Lachie Neale gave me a tour of his Brisbane home – which is now for sale. All drama aside, it’s a lovely home in a great location and perfect for a young family,” she wrote.
Viewers have flocked to the comments in their droves, with many sadly declaring that Lachie has “thrown away” what he had.
“All this and throwing it away, what a proud moment,” one person wrote.
“He destroyed his own home he worked hard for,” another person echoed.
“Fancy destroying this,” commented a third.
“Poor Piper, the bedroom is no more,” a fourth person added.
“The moment he realised it wasn’t worth it… his family leaving,” another person said.
Neale publicly confirmed his split from Jules earlier this month, after six years of marriage. He also announced he was stepping down as the Lions’ co-captain.
“While I won’t go into specifics, I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let down those that are closest to me. And for that I am deeply sorry,” he told a press conference on January 2.
It is alleged that Lachie had been unfaithful with Jules’s best friend, Tess Crosley, after the hairdresser spoke about suffering an “unimaginable betrayal”.
“I want to make it very clear that I am not ‘working through’ anything. I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way,” Jules wrote in a bombshell Instagram post.
She also publicly called out Crosley, ordering her former friend to remove photographs of them together from social media.
“Take these down you idiot, you’re embarrassing yourself,” she wrote under Crosley’s now-deleted photograph of her with the Neales at the Brisbane Lions’ AFL final celebrations.
Neither Lachie nor Tess have directly commented on the allegations.
