EXCLUSIVE: Gia returned to husband Scott after bolting from Sunday’s MAFS Commitment Ceremony but unbeknownst to the groom, she was “pissed off” at him.
Gia was upset over Scott “not being on the same page with the love thing”, but Scott told nine.com.au what was really happening between them when cameras weren’t around.
When John Aiken question Gia over her feelings of love for Scott, she said: “[Scott] knows where I’m at and I need him to say it first to be honest.”
Scott definitely had feelings for Gia; he just needed a bit more time to reach the love stage.
The 33-year-old said Gia was “pretty much trying to force” him to say those three special words.
“You can’t force someone to tell you they love you when they’re not there yet, especially because of her involvement in drama. It just turned me off,” Scott said.
“She was making comments to me saying, ‘I just want someone to get on their knees and beg for me.’
“When you make these sorts of comments, it just pushes me away.”
Scott said things only got worse when it was just the two of them.
“When the cameras weren’t around she would say, ‘I can get any guy I want. I can do this. I can do that.’ I asked, ‘Why are you saying these things to bring me down?’
“I wasn’t biting, I wasn’t giving her anything back, and she just didn’t like my reaction because I was always calm.”
Monday’s episode meant the beginning of Feedback Week, which was supposed to give the couples a chance to get advice on their marriages.
While Scott met up with Stella, Gia locked herself in the bathroom and refused to go on her arranged meeting because she had an inkling it would be one of her sworn enemies, Danny or Bec.
Gia was right, as she was supposed to meet up with Danny.
Scott was disappointed in Gia’s reluctance to immerse herself in the experiment, not that he voiced that to her at the time.
“I think she was just so fixated on what she’d look like on TV, and I think she started to realise her behaviour wasn’t that good, and she tried to run away,” he said.
