Major clue about state of Lachie Neale’s marriage as Jules steps out at Aus Open

Former AFL WAG Jules Neale has dropped a major clue about the state of her marriage to Lachie Neale as she wowed at the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Outgoing Brisbane Lions Co-Captain Lachie Neale steps down from his leadership position. “I understand the interest in my personal life, but these are personal matters,” Mr Neale said. “I can confirm, though, that with regret, Jules and I have now separated. “I apologise for my actions, which have hurt those closest to me.”

AFL WAG Jules Neale has made it clear she’s not letting her recent split from her AFL husband, Lachie Neale, hold her back as she made her first public appearance as a single woman.

The hairdresser-turned-influencer attended the Australian Open in Melbourne on Tuesday.

Supported by her friend, Gabby Morrone, the pair sat courtside in VIP seats to watch Carlos Alcaraz and Alex De Minaur in the Men’s Singles Quarter Final match.

It has been reported that tennis star Nick Kyrgios was on a five-night party bender prior to the Australian Open.

Jules, 35, glowed at the prestigious event as she sipped champagne and posed for photographs in the exclusive Piper-Heidsieck lounge.

The former WAG stunned in a pale pink corset with matching Bermuda shorts from Aussie designer Viktoria and Woods.

She completed the look with brown thong heels, large sunglasses, and subtle silver jewellery. However, her wedding ring was noticeably missing, dropping a major clue that her marriage is over for good.

Jules’s trip to Melbourne follows Lachie’s, 32, arrival in Perth, where he was expected to visit his estranged wife and their two children, Piper, four, and Freddie, one.

The Perthite returned to her home city at the start of the year amid allegations that Lachie had been unfaithful with her best friend, Tess Crosley.

Shortly after Jules left the marital home, the former Brisbane Lions captain confirmed their split in a press conference.

“I accept this is a consequence of my own actions, and I need to focus on rebuilding that trust with Jules, as the future wellbeing of our children remains our number one priority,” he said.

It appears any hope of reconciliation is now gone, as Jules says returning to Perth has helped her “reset” after dealing with the “unimaginable betrayal”.

“The last few months have been a lot but being back in Perth with family has really helped me reset for 2026,” she told the Herald Sun at the Australian Open.

“Gabby and I are sitting on centre court tonight watching and honestly I’m loving being back in Melbourne and watching another sport.”

This is the first time Jules has spoken about her marriage’s collapse since her explosive Instagram post in December.

“I want to make it very clear that I am not ‘working through’ anything,” she raged in an Instagram Story.

“I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is to heal and do what’s best for my children.”

Lachie and Jules’s marital home in Seven Hills, Brisbane, has now been put up for sale and is expected to fetch more than $3 million when it goes to auction next month.

Meanwhile, Lachie has moved into a bachelor pad in the city while he completes his contract with the Brisbane Lions.

The midfielder’s contract ends after the 2026 season. He will then be free to move clubs or relocate closer to his children.
