The MAFS cast back Ryan in his feud with Alissa: ‘Couldn’t be more true’

Alissa called him a “dirty dog”.

MAFS 2026 Alissa Ryan feud

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Alissa Fay recently tried to confront 2025 groom Ryan Donnelly about comments he made about her over the past few months, and it didn’t go down well. During the Daily Mail Reunion Dinner Party, Alissa came up to Ryan and tried to coax out an apology.

“You’ve been saying a lot about me… what’s your problem?” Alissa said.

When Ryan explained her behaviour reminded him of Jacqui Burfoot from his season, Alissa doubled down and said he didn’t know who she really was.

“I’m a very kind person and I feel like you’re very quick to judge,” Alissa said. “You don’t know me. You can’t judge me like that online. Be careful.”

Ryan held his own and said that he was allowed to judge Alissa’s behaviours on MAFS. “If I identified with aspects of your journey, in a negative way, then that’s just my natural reaction. It’s not a personal grudge, it’s just what I see.” he said.

After Ryan walked away, Alissa called him a “c***” and “a dirty dog”.

When this fight was shared on Instagram, Ryan defended his actions. “When you expect the dude who dropped his wife to drop the ball. Nope, I’m a very good negotiator and very self-aware,” he said.

What did the MAFS cast say about Ryan and Alissa’s altercation?

It seems like both members of the MAFS 2026 and 2025 cast have backed Ryan during this feud.

Both Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels shared clapping emojis on the post, and Eliot Donovan added his two cents. “The thing about people who behave horribly on TV is they also behave horribly in person,” Eliot declared. “I think it’s fair to have an opinion on people’s behaviour [if they] choose to put themselves on national TV.”

“Haha, couldn’t be more true!” added 2026 groom Grayson McIvor.

“He did great in this chat,” commented Jamie Marinos.

Ryan’s fans also chimed in with their opinion.

“So glad you put her back in her place. Best thing I’ve seen all day,” one person said.

“She doesn’t stop, does she? Always trying to victimise herself,” another remarked.

However, there was one MAFS fan who accused Ryan of trying to get back into the public eye.

“Oh come on! Ryan is chasing clout ’cause most people have forgotten about him. He’s just a milder version of Tyson!” they wrote. “He is posting things online in order to piggyback off her spotlight in [an] effort to stay relevant.”

Body language expert analyses Alissa and Ryan’s fight

Body language expert Scott Taylor has since called out Alissa’s techniques during her conversation with Ryan.

“She tried to deviate three times when he started to say about the behaviour he saw [on TV] to just, ‘I said hello, I’m kind’, etc,” Scott claimed.

“[She picked] one point then [tried to] stay centred on it, as she couldn’t defend the other elements.”

It will be interesting to see if Alissa speaks up about Ryan in the future, or if she will try and sweep it under the rug.
