‘I feel like an idiot, because instead of believing the actions, I believed his words,’ she said.

Recalling the gut-wrenching Final Vows moment, she added: ‘He was wearing the shoes I bought him for his birthday just five days before.

‘I walked down this beautiful path… and I said to him, “You know I love you.” And then he read his vows out, and he dumped me.’

‘I flew home that night, bawled my eyes out the whole way from Sydney to Adelaide, and then didn’t get out of bed for five days,’ Bec revealed.

She also candidly opened up about what she described as Danny’s ongoing manipulation throughout their relationship.

‘He can never be wrong,’ she said.

‘And if you challenge Danny on why he’s wrong, then it would be my fault, and it would be an argument.’

Bec said hindsight had finally allowed her to recognise the extent of the emotional damage.

 

‘I was being gaslit for so much of this,’ she explained.

‘When he brought up that my taking that phone number for Gia was cheating – it was encouraging cheating – and I was like, “Hang on a second, you’ve cheated on every single partner you’ve ever had”.’

Despite the emotional scars, Bec has maintained she has no regrets about participating in the experiment.

Marcus works as one of Australia’s most in-demand male escorts, charging $1,000 an hour and reportedly earning up to $42,000 in a single month.
