MAFS’ Alissa and David break up: Wedding rings launched in dramatic hallway showdown – ‘Can’t get worse than this’
MAFS’ Final Task ended up being the final straw for Alissa and David, who dramatically split in a scene that saw both of them toss their wedding rings.
“I’m done!” they both declared, launching their rings across the hall.
So just how did the once golden couple end up calling it quits?
Alissa and David watched back the footage of one another at lunch with their alternative matches, Conor and Crystal.
Alissa got the ‘ick’ seeing David refuse to participate in the task, but that was the least of her worries.
In the other room, David lost all trust in Alissa after watching her get a little too interested in Conor.
She quizzed him on what his star sign and job were, asked if Conor was willing to show her his butt tattoo, and bragged she didn’t care if David “comes for” her over the task.
David felt like he’d “been fooled” by Alissa.
“I feel like I’ve been betrayed. I would never say a bad word about Alissa behind her back and to see her do that, that’s not gonna work in the real world,” David told cameras.
When David confronted Alissa over her bad behaviour, she didn’t offer up an apology and instead excused it all as “chit chat”.
Then came the revelation that Alissa and Conor had followed each other on social media.
It was on that note that David wanted to see himself out of the apartment.
“I’m done, I deserve more than that. I’m not going to Final Vows,” David said, removing his ring and leaving it on a nearby luggage cart.
Alissa didn’t take the rejection lightly, as she called it quits too.
She threw her ring in David’s direction.
“I’m done too, here you go,” she said, doubling down on the end of the marriage.
The bride was in such a rush to leave David, she hurried down the halls, took off her microphone and ran out of the building with no shoes!
“All I wanted was for her to acknowledged that my feelings were valid in this relationship,” David said.
“Me and Alissa have had our lows, and this is the lowest of lows. It can’t get worse than this.”
