Australian tennis legend Pat Cash has announced a beautiful new chapter in his personal life, revealing that he and singer-songwriter Charlotte Hodson are engaged.

The 61-year-old former Wimbledon champion shared the happy news on Instagram, describing Charlotte as his “soulmate” and reflecting on the unexpected series of coincidences that brought them together.

“Every now and then, life can surprise you in the very best way,” Pat wrote.

“I’m so incredibly lucky to know that through an amazing string of coincidences I found my soulmate. I can’t help but believe God had it all planned to perfection. She said yes.”

Alongside the heartfelt words, Pat shared a photograph of himself and Charlotte, with the couple now preparing to take their relationship into its next chapter.

From Wimbledon to a very different kind of love match

For Pat, the announcement comes just over a year after he and Charlotte first stepped into the public eye as a couple.

The pair made their relationship public at Wimbledon in 2025, where they appeared together in the Royal Box during the tournament.

At the time, Pat was already open about how deeply he felt about Charlotte, telling The Mirror that although he was unsure whether marriage was in their future, there was no doubt about what she meant to him.

“She’s the love of my life,” he said.

Just over a year later, that uncertainty has disappeared.

Charlotte is a singer-songwriter and massage therapist, with her professional life spanning both music and wellness.

She is associated with the band Chocolate Charlie and has also worked alongside Pat and professional tennis players in her role as a massage therapist.

According to reports, Charlotte had been working with Pat and American tennis player Kayla Day since 2023, meaning their relationship grew from a connection that was already intertwined with Pat’s life in tennis and performance.

When Pat first spoke publicly about Charlotte in 2025, he deliberately left the question of marriage open.

“I don’t know if we’ll go down the marriage route,” he said at the time.
