Robert Irwin steals the show at the Logies 2026! Here are his biggest hosting moments

What can’t Robert Irwin do? The 22-year-old Wildlife Warrior and TV host has stolen Australia’s hearts during his first stint hosting the TV Week Logies and his opening number was nothing short of dazzling.
As the youngest host in Logies history, Robert had massive shoes to fill, taking the reins on Australian television’s night of nights – but he brought his signature charm, and plenty of moves to the stage!
From dazzling Aussie audiences and TV stars with a dance number showing off all the skills he acquired on Dancing With The Stars to his infectious high energy, here are Robert’s standout moments from the 2026 ceremony.

Robert brings out Australia Zoo’s newest employee

Yep, that’s Sharon Strzelecki aka beloved Aussie actress Magda Szubanski! Magda hasn’t been seen out in public for some time after her battle with cancer, with fans thrilled to see her take the stage to help announce the Gold Logie winner.
Robert joins Peking Duk on stage for a quick dance
Showing off his dancing skills once again, Robert joined Peking Duk during their performance (still in his khaki!) to end their set demonstrating how to do The Worm. What can’t this man do?!
Robert whips off his black tie hosting attire and gets back into his trademark khaki as he gives Aussie celebs an actual reptile lesson

Armed with a blue-tongue lizard and two slippery snakes, Robert wowed (and intimidated!) our favourite celebs in the crowd, no doubt waking them up from the mid-awards slump as he got them to touch his pythons.
Robert takes home his first Logie!

Taking home the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter for I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! , Robert quipped that he thought he only had “one job tonight”.
Thanking Channel 10, Julia Morris and the wider I’m A Celeb crew, Robert called it the “greatest three years” of his life, before dedicating the award to his family and Australia Zoo.
Robert’s sly dig towards Karl Stefanovic
In his opening speech, Robert couldn’t help but make a crack towards former Today show host and now controversial podcast host, Karl Stefanovic, who was a no-show for this year’s Logies.
“Unfortunately Karl Stefanovic did not RSVP tonight, which means we didn’t have to hire as many bartenders, but we’ve saved him a seat there over to the right… the far right,” he quipped.
Robert’s joke about Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes
Robert delivered his opening speech jokes with a huge smile, with comedian Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes copping a mention.
“Apparently I hear that Channel 10 is also developing a reboot of Hughesy, We Have a Problem. And I think it’s called, No seriously, Hughesy, we have a problem,” he said.
Robert dazzles with opening dance number

Taking to the stage, Robert once again put his twinkle toes on display as he kicked things off with a dance number.
As Casey Donovan belted out Don’t You Worry ’Bout a Thing, Robert made a grand entrance to join the backing dancers.
He proved he hadn’t forgotten what he’d learnt on Dancing With The Stars USA as he put on the performance of a lifetime.
In fact, he was notably out of breath as he recovered from the energetic number to deliver his opening speech.
Robert’s cameo with Russell Coight
Before Robert took to the stage, an amusing skit played, showing the wildlife warrior’s journey to The Star Sydney, where the Logies broadcast live.
He nervously stood outside his hotel, dressed in his signature khakis with his suit in hand, waiting for his ride to arrive.
All of a sudden, none other than Russell Coight rounded the corner to meet him!
In an amusing twist, Robert hitched a lift with the All Aussie Adventures wildlife expert, with Glenn Robbins remaining in character the entire time.
We’ll be updating this post as the Logies continue, so make sure to check back!
