Heartbroken Bec begs producers to escape after Danny’s savage dumping!

MAFS bride Bec reveals devastating impact of Danny’s ‘horrific’ final vows that ‘blindsided’ her

She wasn’t expecting to hear what he said and revealed it took a huge toll on her mental health in the days after.

Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has revealed just how deeply her groom’s “horrific” final vows hit her.

The grand finale was aired on Tuesday night and saw the Adelaide-based 35-year-old dumped by Danny Hewitt in a forest filled with flowers.

She said very little to the Melbourne businessman once he said his piece, but was later seen nearby sobbing with her face in her hands.

Bec has now opened up about what happened after that.

“I flew home that same day because I couldn’t be in Sydney anymore, and I didn’t get out of my bed for five days,” she told nine.com.au.

“I lay in bed and I didn’t eat. I just slept and cried. It was, it was truly one of the most horrific things I think that’s ever happened to me.”

After a few minutes of crying in the forest, she begged a producer to give her her phone and asked to be taken out of the area immediately.

Some viewers said it was a tough watch as Bec dealt with the savage rejection during the episode, as she admitted she was completely “blindsided”.

“Stop I am so sad for her. I know she sucks sometimes but that is awful,” one wrote.

“That’s painful. That’s a proper breakup she didn’t see coming,” added another.

“Oh my god poor Bec,” said a third.

Not everyone was sympathetic to her, with some even saying she deserved it after all her antics on the show.

“If only Bec stayed in her lane,” commented one person.

“Nooooo not the consequences of all my actions,” added another.

A poll of hundreds of Yahoo Lifestyle readers found the overwhelming majority (77 per cent) felt Danny’s decision was a long time coming for Bec.

What did Danny say when he dumped Bec at the MAFS final vows?

During his final vows, Danny remarked at how his relationship with Bec had grown over the last three months, and that they had experienced a lot of highs.

But towards the end of his speech, he explained why he wouldn’t be pursing a relationship with her.

“I’ve always said that I want to start thinking about having kids soon, and when I think of bringing kids into the world, I want to bring kids into a stable relationship and a stable, loving home,” he said.

He added that after spending a week apart from Bec, it felt like a weight had come off his shoulders, which made him realise they weren’t a long-term match.

“I believe you can have multiple soul mates in life, some who are your best friends and some who are your lovers,” Danny added.

“I believe you’re my soul mate as a friend, but I’ve come to realise there’s doubt in my mind [that] you are my soulmate as a lover.

“I’m so sorry to do this to you, but I can’t be your husband anymore. I know this might be hard to hear, but I think we both deserve a happy relationship and a healthier one.”

There is a MAFS reunion episode this Sunday, where the cast will come back together to discuss what happened at the final vows.

Married At First Sight bride Brook Crompton has shared why she won’t be attending the TV show’s reunion.

The special edition episode will air this Sunday night, and will feature several 2026 cast members to talk about the season.

The 27-year-old Queenslander abruptly left the experiment following a dramatic dinner party where she ripped into multiple people and her behaviour was labelled “disgusting”.

A poll of nearly 2,800 UNews viewers found an overwhelming 97 per cent thought she went “too far” that night.

Many have been wondering whether she would come back and face the music and now she’s spoken out.

“In the lead-up [to the reunion], I was contacted multiple times by producers via email and phone, encouraging me to attend,” she said on Instagram.

“I was also advised that my onscreen husband would not be present.

“However, at that point in my life, I had just found out that Harry and I were expecting our first child.”

Brook explained that returning to that environment “was not in my best interest”, so she turned down the offer.

“It had previously brought out a side of me I wasn’t proud of, and I knew I needed to prioritise my wellbeing,” she added.

“My focus was, and always will be, protecting myself, my partner, and our baby. For that reason, I chose not to attend.

“The information I was given only reinforced for me that stepping away from the experiment was the right decision. I stand by my choice and hope that provides some clarity.”

Shortly after Brook’s departure from the Channel 9 show, it was revealed that she was pregnant after getting back together with her ex-partner.

They’re expecting their baby later this year and are now also engaged.

What did Brook do on MAFS that was so controversial?

During that fiery dinner party episode, Brook yelled at Alissa and asked whether the nurse’s parents would be proud of her for how she acted on the show.

She also called Alissa a “ratchet b***h”, and in unseen footage aired on Stan’s After The Dinner Party, Brook went even harder on the bride.

“I know for a fact everyone will watch this show and see that Alissa is a fake f***ing bitch with those rat-s**t hair extensions,” she said.

Brook then turned her sights to fellow bride Stella for complaining at the commitment ceremony that not everyone was happy for her and Filip’s strong bond.

The model then targeted groom Danny, and said she could drop a bombshell that would ruin his marriage.

Brook released an apology after the episode had aired and said her behaviour wasn’t acceptable.

“The past few episodes of Married At First Sight was an extremely difficult watch,” she said.

“What you saw last night was the worst version of myself, and unfortunately Alissa and Stella were on the receiving end of that.

“I want to firstly, sincerely apologise to Alissa and Stella for my words and the hurt that I have caused.

“My actions were appalling and not at all a reflection of the kindness and respect that you both deserve and I hope in time you can forgive me. I am truly sorry.”
