The Block star Eliza Paschke and Nova radio host Clint Stanaway have shared a sweet new update as they count down to the arrival of their first child together.
The pair, who are preparing to raise the baby through a co-parenting arrangement, revealed they are now 27 weeks into the pregnancy, with their little one expected to arrive in November.
But as their new chapter draws closer, another part of Eliza’s journey has taken on a particularly poignant meaning — a deeply personal decision she made years before motherhood was ever certain.
Eliza and Clint share a sweet pregnancy update
Clint, 43, posted a photo of himself with Eliza, 40, as the parents-to-be caught up at a Melbourne café.
“27 weeks in… and yep, the cinny scroll cravings are real for the three of us,” he wrote alongside the snap.
He also thanked followers for the support they had received since announcing their news earlier this year.
“We’ve had so many incredible messages from people over the past few months. Thank you for all the kind words, support and advice so far,” Clint wrote.
“We can’t wait to meet our little person in November!”
The update prompted warm messages from friends and followers, with many expressing their excitement for the pair as the due date moves closer.
A different kind of family filled with love
Eliza first announced her pregnancy on June 4, revealing she was 16 weeks pregnant and “immensely grateful” to be preparing to become a mother.
The following day, Clint confirmed during his Jase, Lauren & Clint radio show that he was the baby’s father — and explained that he and Eliza, whom he described as a “really good friend”, had chosen to raise their child together.
“We’re going to be using a co-parenting model to have this child,” he told listeners.
Clint acknowledged that their family may look different from a traditional arrangement, but said one thing would never be missing.
“We’re going to have a different looking family, but a family that is not going to have any shortage of love in it.”
He also became emotional while recalling the baby’s first scan, admitting the moment had almost overwhelmed him.
“It took my breath away, it really did,” he said.
Eliza later said she was “so happy” to be sharing the experience with Clint.
The decision Eliza made years before motherhood
For Eliza, the journey carries an additional layer of meaning.
Long before she knew what her future family might look like, she made a significant financial and personal choice to give herself more options later in life.
Eliza previously revealed that at 32, while single and with no assets to her name, she had saved enough money for an overseas holiday.
Instead of taking the trip, however, she put the money toward freezing her eggs.
“Instead of going on that holiday, I made a $10,000 investment in my future,” she wrote in a 2024 column for nine.com.au.
Six years after that first procedure, Eliza revealed she was undergoing the process again.
At the time, she said she still was not certain whether she wanted children, but viewed the decision as a way of giving herself greater choice in the future.
“I’m not sure if I want children but I guess it gives me a bit of a security blanket for potentially having a child if I want to later in life,” she explained.
“I am single, so you have to think about these things a little bit.”
Years later, with her first child now due in November, that earlier decision has become an unexpectedly emotional part of the story leading to this new chapter.
For Eliza and Clint, the countdown is now well and truly underway — and their unconventional family is getting closer to becoming a reality.
