Brooklyn Ross has reunited with Kyle Sandilands only weeks after saying he planned to remain at KIIS FM. But one detail waiting inside Kyle’s new studio — and Ross’ reaction to it — has added an unexpected question to what comes next.

Kyle Sandilands has reunited with longtime colleague Brooklyn Ross, with the former KIIS FM newsreader confirmed as the latest addition to his new independent subscription show, Kyle Sandilands Live.
The reunion was revealed in an Instagram video on Friday, filmed outside Sandilands’ Vaucluse home in Sydney, which has been transformed into the headquarters for the new program.
Sandilands enthusiastically welcomed Ross before taking him inside to meet the rest of the team, describing him as the final member of the lineup ahead of the show’s Monday launch.
The moment marked a significant reversal for Ross, who only weeks earlier had publicly said he did not intend to leave ARN to work with his former colleague.
Brooklyn Had Publicly Ruled Out Joining Kyle
Just around six weeks earlier, Ross had addressed the growing speculation over whether he might follow Sandilands into his next venture — and his answer at the time appeared unequivocal.
“I will not be working with Kyle on his new venture. I’m going to be staying here at KIIS,” Ross told listeners.
He went on to say he was sad about no longer working alongside Sandilands and made clear that the affection between them remained mutual. Yet within weeks, that seemingly firm position had changed — making his eventual reunion with Kyle all the more notable.
A decision that changed within weeks
Around six weeks earlier, Ross had addressed speculation about whether he might follow Sandilands into his next venture.
At the time, he told KIIS listeners that although he remained close to Sandilands, he planned to stay with the network.
Ross said he was sad they would no longer work together but wished Sandilands well with whatever came next.
That position has now changed, with Ross leaving ARN after more than a decade with the company.
ARN confirmed his departure in a statement, thanking him for his contribution and saying plans for its new lineup were underway.
Kyle welcomes back another familiar face
The video of their reunion showed just how pleased Sandilands was to have Ross back on his team.
As the pair entered the new home studio, other staff members cheered before Sandilands announced that the “final team member” had arrived.
Ross will reunite with several people who previously worked on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, including Jaimee “Mayo” Blazquez, Alfie Laguzza, Josh Fox, Pedro Cuccovillo Vitola and reporter Mary Madigan.
Madigan had initially been expected to handle the news role after Ross decided to remain at KIIS. Under the new arrangement, however, the pair are expected to share responsibilities.
One detail quickly turned attention back to Jackie O
Yet one of the more intriguing moments came during Ross’ tour of the studio.
Sandilands showed him a golden throne that had been set aside for former co-host Jackie “O” Henderson, telling Ross there would always be a place for her should she decide to work with him again.
Ross’ response added another layer to the reunion, saying the possibility of Jackie eventually joining them had played some part in his thinking.
For now, however, the confirmed development is Ross’ return to Sandilands’ side as Kyle Sandilands Live prepares for its 6am Monday debut.
