Farmer Wants A Wife star Miranda addresses the comparisons to Clarette that divided Australia

“If I get the villain edit, that’s okay.”

Miranda from Farmer Wants A Wife Australia 2026 on villain edit

Miranda Chopping is one of Farmer Zac’s contestants on Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2026 and she’s proving to be the one to watch this season.

Her official bio says she’s 21, from Queensland, and works in real estate. Miranda says Zac “ticks all the boxes” because he’s tall, has blue eyes, a warm smile, family man energy and a sweet tooth.

ICYMI: Miranda is set to stir the pot this season, as she’s already featured prominently in the teasers.

In one introduction, the popular Instagrammer said she was “high maintenance” and teasers with Miranda included her saying “Why wouldn’t everyone love me?” and “I’m hard to dislike”.

By now, reality TV fans know the drill: we’ve got a villain, folks. Miranda spoke to Chattr about what she thinks of being set up for the ‘villain edit’ on the 2026 season of Farmer Wants A Wife.

Miranda addresses getting the ‘villain edit’ on Farmer Wants A Wife

Miranda has noticed that she’s copped a less-than-flattering edit. “I’ve seen a lot displayed of myself [in the teasers], which isn’t necessarily positive,” she said.

“I was definitely aware that confidence can sometimes be misunderstood, especially when condensed into a TV show where people only see small parts of who you are… I’d rather be confident in who I am than pretend to be someone else,” Miranda continued.

“I think I’m just straight up and direct, and there’s nothing wrong with that, so if I get the villain edit, that’s okay, but anyone who knows me, knows what I’m actually like.”

Given the attention Miranda has already copped, there will be obvious comparisons drawn between herself and last year’s divisive contestant, Clarette Annalisa, who went on to win Farmer Thomas’ heart the 2025 season (but the two have since split).

Both women have high standards, making some viewers questions whether they could adjust to city-vs-farm life. Miranda hasn’t watched FWAW before but she knowns she was already being compared to Clarette.

“I have seen her. I’ve seen a photo of her and her Farmer on Facebook, but I don’t know anything about her or how she was displayed on the show,” she noted.

However, she doesn’t mind the comparison to Clarette, who was known for being a straight shooter who told it like it is. “I just completely agree with being straight up. I think it’s better to be saying how it is completely rather than beating around the bush, or talking about something behind someone else’s back. If you have an issue, say it to that person’s face directly and get it sorted out, what’s the point of being fake?”

Miranda admits she almost applied for Farmer Dylan on Farmer Wants A Wife

Miranda told Chattr that while she applied for Farmer Zac when she was struck by his mesmerising eyes, she was interested in a second Farmer, too.

“I definitely thought Dylan was cute, but he wasn’t tall enough, unfortunately,” she said.

Miranda went on to claims that despite all the Farmers listing their heights as over six foot, she wasn’t convinced this was true. “I don’t know if their heights are accurate,” Miranda said. “I don’t even know if Zac was actually 6’3, but he was taller than me, so it was good enough.”

Miranda decided to apply for Farmer Wants A Wife after being drawn to Zac’s profile. “I kind of just applied not knowing if I was obviously going to get on. I saw Zac’s profile and thought he was cute, and I’ve always had a thing for country boys, so I kind of just gave it a go,” she said.
