A star on Farmer Wants A Wife has revealed a behind-the-scenes detail about the popular reality TV show that thankfully wasn’t used during a very intimate moment.
The second episode of the beloved dating show saw farmers Jarrad, Zac, Dylan, Alex and Jason pick one lucky lady to get to the farm 24 hours before the other women in their respective top fives.
All five farmers shared a kiss with their chosen date throughout the episode, with apple farmer Zac and Grace being the first to do so.
Jarrad told Yahoo Lifestyle he was stunned that the filming crew regularly asked him to shoot multiple takes of a single scene.
“We do a scene, and they’re like, ‘Right, we need to do a wide [shot], and then we’ve got to do an overhead shot’, and then they get the drone out, and sometimes at the start of the scene you’ve done like three or four times before you [move on],” he said.
“I didn’t realise that, and there’s also a lot of waiting around between filming. It’s like, are we gonna start soon? So that was surprising.”
However, he was also asked whether that process was used when they locked lips with the ladies.
“No, luckily not,” he said.
“It’s mostly leading up to the scene that they do a lot of that.
“But when you’re actually doing the scene, they try, I think, particularly in this instance, being a reality TV show, they try and keep it quite real and organic, which is good.”
Alex, a beef and mushroom farmer from Queensland, told Yahoo Lifestyle the most brutal part of multiple takes was having to send someone home.
He called it one of the “hardest things” about being on the program because it’s obviously a very emotionally-charged moment and then you have to reset and do it all over again for a drone shot.

Viewers were stunned to see the farmers turn up the heat so early in the show, particularly between sheep farmer and rodeo rider Dylan and his date Ally.
Dylan went all in on their first date, taking Ally horseback riding and then meeting his grandparents.
All five farmers shared a kiss with a lucky lady in Tuesday’s episode.

At the end of the date, Ally was giving her thoughts when Dylan popped up and kissed her, and fans went wild for it.
“This is seriously like a scene from a movie…absolutely gorgeous,” one said.
“Why does this feel like a trailer for a Nicholas Sparks movie,” another added.
“They are perfect together,” a third commented.
“Cute! I hope they are together when it’s all done and dusted,” another said.
