The One Nation leader’s press conference quickly turned tense after a staffer told a journalist to “shut up”.
Pauline Hanson has unleashed on the media in a tense moment caught on camera.
The One Nation leader was caught on hot mic calling a reporter a “nasty b****” after a staffer told the journalist to “shut up”.
The off-script remark came as Ms Hanson fronted a media conference on the sidelines of an oil and gas producers event in Adelaide.
The renegade leader was asked about her party’s position on fracking and offshore drilling, as well as the party’s upcoming Senate candidates when a media advisor abruptly ended the media scrum by shouting “no, that’s it”.
“We’re done, thank you. No, no, no. Shut up. We’re done,” adviser Richard Henderson said to the journalist while Senator Hanson turned to leave.
“Did you just say shut up?” the reporter shot back.
Footage then showed Ms Hanson and her entourage walking away from the press pack. Ms Hanson striked up a conversation with MP Barnaby Joyce who said she had done “very well”.
Senator Hanson is heard uttering the words: “I said you’re the nasty b***h.”
The foul-mouth response promted Mr Henderson and Mr Joyce to laugh. Senator Hanson then turned around and uttered: “Do you want me to go back and I’ll tell her?”

This isn’t the first time Senator Hanson’s off-mic encounters with the press has made the headlines.
On the eve of the Farrer by-election, Senator Hanson’s chief of staff James Ashby was caught on camera booting out ABC regional journalists from a campaign event.
“Bye bye to the ABC,” Mr Ashby said, adding: “See you later guys.”
A confused Ms Hanson asked Mr Ashby why they had to leave.
“Why, if they’re local ABC? Rural and regional?” she asked him, according to the video footage.
“Because they’re reporting back to ABC Canberra,” Mr Ashby said.
Hanson replied: “They shouldn’t have gone.”
According to 7News, the One Nation leader was in Adelaide to talk about her party’s new gas policy.
Earlier in the day, Senator Hanson said the federal government would acquire a 30 per cent equity stake in Australia’s “miracle” new gas ventures under One Nation, in a Norway-inspired proposal.
Addressing the Australia Energy Producers conference in Adelaide on Thursday, Senator Hanson said the right-wing populist wanted “more gas”, not less, and was proposing a “genuine partnership with the gas industry, from exploration through to production and decommissioning”.
“One Nation’s policy will drive more exploration, more development, and more production without pushing out smaller Australian producers,” she said.
Senator Hanson said ownership rights would be “100 per cent owned” by a new commonwealth special investment vehicle and the Australian National Wealth Investment Corporation, which will “direct its share of oil and gas to Australia’s greatest benefit”. Any profits made on Australia’s equity ownership would placed in a sovereign wealth fund to “reinvest and grow”.
