In an explosive twist no one saw coming, Steph was embroiled in the “bikini photo” scandal between Bec’s ex-husband Danny that erupted during the MAFS Reunion Dinner Party.
Steph has now shared the bikini photo she sent to Danny, revealing the truth behind her relationship with the groom.
“Bikini photo in question,” wrote the bride as she reshared an old post to her Instagram stories.
The post from November 2025 was taken during her mentioned trip to Hamilton Island, when she first “reached out” to Bec’s ex-husband Danny after he had viewed one of her stories.
The post included a collection of photos from the bride’s trip, including photo of a sun-kissed Steph posing on a boat in a pink bikini top and red shorts.
It also included sight-seeing snaps and a second bikini photo of Steph taking a selfie in her pink swimsuit.
“Sunbaking/burnt, bug/gies, saunas, sightseeing, HPC, Hamilton 🏝️,” she captioned the original post.
What fans have now realised is that Bec commented under the post at the time with four fire emojis “🔥🔥🔥🔥” confirming the timeline of their friendship.
Bec was furious to learn her ex had been texting and receiving a bikini photo from another bride after Final Vows, but Steph told nine.com.au her communication with Danny was completely innocent.
Steph said she added all the cast, including Danny, on social media to stay connected.
“I went to Hamilton Island with work, and he said he’d never been there. I sent him a couple of photos, one of which was me in a bikini, which had already been posted on social media,” she told nine.com.au.
“There was f—ing nothing to it.”
With Steph and Danny both working in real estate, the chat naturally continued to property and careers and when Steph got in her car she “took the convo to voice notes because we’re not texting and driving”.
The pair continued sending voice notes back and forth, and Steph admitted it was “so good” to hear Danny’s voice.
She stood firm it was not flirtatious and “came from a place of comfort”.
“I was having a conversation I would’ve had with anyone,” she said. “He’s a friend, that’s it. I treat him like anyone else in this experiment.”
Danny, at the Dinner Party, said he “nothing to hide” about his friendship with Steph. He boiled the whole drama down to “a load of bollocks”.
Bec was livid when she confronted Steph about the messages to Danny, one that ended with Bec’s explicit spray at both Steph and Danny.
Speaking to nine.com.au, Bec could see how the bikini photo and the voice notes “could be innocent”, to her that wasn’t the point – it was a matter of loyalty.
“You’re my friend, you’re trying to pick me up when I’m down! Why are you messaging him?” Bec reacted.
“Even if it was innocent, it’s wrong. Have some respect for me, both of you.”
