MAFS INSIDER: Cheating scandal set to rock reunion… Plus, see the appalling mean girl texts about Alissa that stunned the Dinner Party – and why Gia walks out this Sunday
When it comes to MAFS Commitment Ceremonies, the rules are straightforward.
The most explosive rows involve couples who were doomed from the start – the sexless mismatches, the endless bickerers, the ones who have been circling the drain for weeks.
What you don’t expect is for one of the experiment’s strongest relationships to suddenly find itself at the centre of the chaos.
But that’s exactly what unfolds at the Commitment Ceremony on Sunday.
But first, let’s talk about the Dinner Party that just aired…
The leaked texts

DailyMail+ readers have known for weeks about the WhatsApp scheming against Alissa Fay (pictured here with her husband David Momoh)

Gia (pictured with husband Scott McCristal) rocked Wednesday’s Dinner Party #5 by bringing out the infamous WhatsApp texts we published three weeks ago
Viewers were surprised to see formerly feuding brides Gia Fleur and Alissa Fay form an unlikely friendship during Retreat Week.
But their alliance doesn’t last, with Gia rocking Wednesday’s Dinner Party #5 by bringing out the infamous WhatsApp texts we published three weeks ago.
The texts confirmed that Gia and co-stars Bec Zacharia and Brook Crompton had spent weeks scheming to take down Alissa, despite appearing to be friendly with her.
In one message, Bec declared she was going to ‘go so f**king hard on Alissa and her fake relationship’. Another bride responded: ‘Go babe we agree and got you.’
In another, Bec referred to Alissa as a ‘rat’ for telling MAFS producers that a reporter had contacted her, before making deeply offensive remarks about her character.
Elsewhere in the catty conversation, insults flew about Alissa being allegedly fake, unrelatable and opportunistic.
The Mail understands she is now considering her legal options in response to these claims.
Later, one of the group members dismissively referred to Alissa and husband David Momoh as ‘Christian influencer wannabes’, and another said it was ‘obvious’ they were ‘dying to be’ famous.

Later on, the group‑chat mean girls branded Alissa and husband David as ‘Christian influencer wannabes’ who were ‘dying to be’ famous’
For context: the messages were exchanged a week before the chaotic Dinner Party #2 but weren’t revealed to Alissa and the wider cast until last night’s Dinner Party #5.
For Alissa, the reveal made her doubt whether Gia was ever genuinely interested in being friends, or if she was simply trying to dig up dirt on her for the other mean girls.
‘They shut it down’
Looking ahead to Sunday’s Commitment Ceremony #5, an insider claims the room descended into chaos when Gia tried to bring up the WhatsApp screenshots again in order to expose Bec’s role in the scheming against Alissa.
‘It got pretty explosive,’ the source said. ‘Gia tried to show screenshots that would have changed how the whole situation looked.’
But according to the insider, production stepped in quickly.

‘They shut it down straight away. They didn’t want the screenshots shown in the room.’
Those messages, Gia believes, could have dramatically shifted the narrative of the feud by making it clear she wasn’t the only one involved in the nastiness, after copping most of the heat at the previous Dinner Party.
But reality is, by this point in the experiment, everyone was over the leaked texts storyline and simply wanted to move on.
‘What does this have to do with my marriage?’
One source present during filming told me Gia and husband Scott McCristal initially walked into the Commitment Ceremony believing things were going well.
It makes sense – at this stage during filming, they were the happiest they’d been.
‘The experts started off by saying they were happy with their progress,’ said the insider. ‘They really thought it was going to be a positive couch session.’
But the tone changed quickly.

Gia (left) grows impatient and eventually walks out of the next Commitment Ceremony
The conversation unexpectedly veered away from their relationship and back to the drama surrounding Scott’s broken friendship with fellow groom Danny Hewitt.
‘Gia got frustrated,’ the source said. ‘She kept asking what Scott and Danny’s friendship had to do with her marriage.’
According to those present, the discussion repeatedly circled back to the same topic, despite the couple trying to steer things back to their relationship.
‘She felt like they were dragging her into a feud that had already been dealt with. That’s when Gia stood up and walked out.’
The moment producers said Gia had ‘left’
If that wasn’t enough, tensions only escalated once Gia walked out of the ceremony.
An insider claims producers attempted to heighten the drama by telling Scott that Gia had ‘left’ the experiment, when in fact she had just gone back to their apartment.
‘They told him she’d left,’ the source said, with the implication being she’d walked out and wasn’t coming back, like Brook Crompton had done earlier in the season.
Scott wasn’t buying it, telling the producers he knew she hadn’t.
According to another cast member, the confusing moment left the couple feeling like they no longer had control of their own narrative.
‘They felt like they were being pushed into the centre of a storyline they didn’t sign up for,’ the insider said.
Scott’s growing concern
According to multiple sources, the real anxiety began after Gia left the room.
While Gia believes a producer narrative was being pushed against her, Scott appears to have been grappling with a different concern entirely.
A source says that at this stage in the experiment he was deeply worried about how the pressure of filming was affecting his on-screen wife.
‘Scott keeps saying that outside the show she’s not like this,’ the insider revealed.
‘He thinks the environment and the constant drama are really getting to her.’
The pressure was getting to him as well.
‘He’s a very positive guy and he hates the drama,’ added a source.
‘He just wants a peaceful relationship and the whole situation is exhausting him.’
Where Rachel and Bec stand now
Despite the explosive scenes of Retreat Week, Rachel Gilmore says her friendship with Bec ultimately survived the drama.
Speaking about where things stand today, Rachel told the Mail the tension viewers saw at the retreat didn’t permanently damage their relationship.
‘At the end of the day, Bec and I are friends,’ she said.
Rachel acknowledged the ‘finger bang’ row was difficult at the time, but the pair were able to move forward once filming resumed in Sydney.

Bec had thrown a spanner in the works by making a crude comment during Retreat Week
‘The forgiveness was given then, and we’ve really grown our friendship from there,’ Rachel said.
‘For both of us there are moments where we walk back and go, “Oh, I’m not proud of that.” But Bec and I have come so far in our friendship.’
Rachel added that while the retreat was painful, it ultimately didn’t define her and Bec’s relationship.
‘I am so grateful for her friendship,’ she said.
Cheating scandal at the reunion
Looking ahead to the MAFS reunion, the Mail can reveal a controversial groom will find himself at the centre of a cheating saga.
And if the allegations are true, there may be no coming back for the couple involved.
According to a well-placed source, the groom allegedly slid into the DMs of another bride just days after filming the Final Vows, sending what are described as a series of flirty voice notes, emojis and messages.
Exactly how far the conversation went remains unclear.
For his own bride, discovering the messages was the final ‘nail in the coffin’.
‘Once she saw the messages, the trust was gone,’ says an insider.
Whether the texts were technically cheating will no doubt become a hot topic when the reunion airs.
But in the emotionally charged world of MAFS – where relationships are already hanging by a thread – sliding into another bride’s DMs is rarely seen as innocent.
And if this scandal explodes the way insiders expect it will, it could easily become the most awkward confrontation of the reunion.
