Danny’s secret MAFS regret leaks and changes everything

EXCLUSIVE: There has been plenty of debate over whether Married At First Sight‘s Danny did or didn’t tell Gia she was his type – but that’s not the moment the groom regrets the most.

Of course, that’s because he maintains he never said what Gia claimed. Instead, Danny was most regretful of the way he handled wife Bec’s initial belief of the situation.

“Personally, I think I handled it horrendously – it’s my biggest regret from the experiment, to be honest. I just wish I’d had more patience with Bec,” he told 9Entertainment.

In Sunday night’s episode, viewers saw an emotional Bec as she and Danny spent the night apart.

When they reunited, Danny told her he was hurt that she believed Gia at first, though Bec had since decided that it was a lie made up to damage her relationship.

He said that conversation was a very tough moment to watch back.

“In that clip of me walking into the room, I just sort of made it all about me and didn’t take her feelings into consideration,” Danny said.

“We live and we learn. If I were ever in that situation again – which I hope I’m not – I would handle it very differently.”

In general, Danny said it was “validating” to see many viewers believe him over Gia, but after so many discussions about the supposed comment, he was sick of it.

“I’ve been talking about this comment for five months of my life. If people believe me, they do, but if they don’t, I don’t care. There was a time I did care, but I don’t care anymore,” Danny said.

“As long as my family and the people close to me know the truth, that’s all that matters to me.”
